AGSI's clients utilize our Application Service Provision (ASP) web service to ensure that business-critical applications can be deployed in a cost-effective, scalable, secure and risk-reduced manner. AGSI builds, hosts and manages applications as a client service, from a data centre over the Internet. AGSI's ASP saves clients time, effort and money by simplifying ongoing system reliability and support, while adding business value in the form of enhanced operational flexibility, improved and guaranteed system performance and access to AGSI developed enterprise applications. AGSI provides our Clients a viable alternative to procuring, implementing, building, managing internal information technology operations and operating complex systems themselves. Finally, our clients are able to precisely control the total cost of technology ownership through scheduled payment programs. With data processing also performed by AGSI, our clients can focus on their core competencies.

AGSI offers two levels of hosting:

  1. privately-owned data center and,
  2. a world-class mission critical communications facility strategically located within Toronto, Ontario. This data center is a secure, service-oriented facility staffed with experienced network operations staff to expedite the installation and maintenance of relevant services.

World Class Facility Hosting Details:

Physical Security

All access is via perimeter and interior card key access systems with 24/7 facility monitoring. Visitors must pass through multiple levels of security and are required to be always escorted. All Data Centers and parking areas are accessed by appointment only. Hardware is housed in seismically braced cabinets with lockable front and back doors for added security. The facilities have Raised Access Static-free Floor systems.

Backup Power

The facilities are fully backed by UPS power with six multi-megawatt generators on standby that guarantee consistent operations in the event of power failure. The generators can be run at full capacity for weeks with emergency refuelling contracts in place. All generators are “Live Tested” on a monthly basis. All electrical power has dual access to utility power grid sub-stations at physically diverse entrances.

Disaster Control

Facilities are hardened with buildings constructed to exceed seismic zone 3 standards. Essential facilities equivalent to seismic zone 4, the highest of any data center in Canada.

Environmental Controls

AGSI’s facility has 3 x 22 ton redundant HVAC environmental cooling systems. Two emergency wells supply water to cooling towers if city water is cut off.

Fire Protection

Fire detection and suppression systems provide 24/7 protection of your critical systems. Data centers are equipped with pre-action dry fire suppression systems. The buildings contain complete sprinkler systems to NFPA 13 standards.
