Postal Codes OM
AGSI receives a monthly update of the changes that will take place at Canada Post within the next 60 days and we coordinate this information against the AGSI Location Warehouse. The postal codes provided by Canada Post have multiple intelligent components built into the structure. The two main components are the Forward Sortation Area (FSA) and the Local Delivery Unit (LDU).
FSA - the FSA file boundary represents the first three digits in a Canadian Postal CodeOM. The first character in the FSA identifies a Canadian province, territory or district. The second and third characters help identify the exact area in a city, town or other geographic location where mail will be delivered.
The value added advantage of AGSI postal code products lies in our ability to tie postal code information to AGSI generated polygons and address data. Our highly accurate postal codes are tied directly to rectified real world addresses.
AGSI can provide different levels of Postal CodeOM products to our clients:
Postal codes linked directly to addresses
Six-character postal code polygons based upon Parcel . (These include disjoint postal codes.)
AGSI is also a re-seller of Geographic Data Technologies / Tele Atlas Postal Code Products, including;

This geographic polygon boundary file represents the graphical boundary file for all of Canada’s forward sortation areas (FSAs).
Geographic Data Technologies / Tele Atlas FSA LDU Six Character Postal Points
