AGSI and Emergency Management Ontario (EMO) on the World Stage - June 2, 2008
AGSI is proud to announce that Oracle, the world's largest database company, has recognized Emergency Management Ontario's (EMO) GO360™ solution as a significant achievement for delivering an advanced, real-time, secure, interoperable, scalable and collaborative Emergency Management Solution for Canada's most populous Province.
The EMO solution is based on AGSI's GO360 secure Web Services platform. GO360 leverages Oracle's robust Relational Data Base Management System functionality, adhering to standard I.T. principles and practices and eliminating any need for proprietary middleware or Geographical Information Systems (GIS). The EMO application provides an interoperable and scalable solution facilitating communication between organizations, all levels of government, on-site resources and worldwide experts in a collaborative real-time environment.
Oracle is currently producing the first of multiple international podcasts with AGSI and has focused on EMO's solution recognizing the excellence shown for this truly unique and leading edge multi-organizational emergency collaborative tool. The Podcast focus features EMO and AGSI discussing EMO's significant and challenging business requirements, and how AGSI set about solving them using Oracle's industry leading database technology hand-in-hand with AGSI's GO360 platform.
By combining these powerful solutions, EMO was able to go from start to finish in just 4 and ½ months implementing the fully functional version in May 2007.
