AGSI'S enhances its GO360™ Communicator with Check-It™- November 21, 2008
AGSI provides secure web service technology called GO360 to enable corporations to access, view, manage, edit, report, and collaborate their information anywhere, anytime by any authorized user. Today, AGSI is introducing our latest collaboration feature enhancement to GO360 called Check-It.
AGSI has found Check-It to be an invaluable feature in GO360 for assigning tasks over the Web by using the map as a reference layer. Check-It allows users to insert a map symbol, such as a Question Mark with attached comments, that represents any type of action or follow-up that is required by another user. This allows people to now communicate and exchange information in real-time over the web by simple clicking on Check-It map symbols.
At a minimum, Check-It includes two states: Check-It & Action Taken. Additional states can be added based upon any corporate workflow. For example, AGSI uses a third state when work is identified by a customer and our internal team sends the request to our Field resources which are dispatched to research and resolve the assigned task. All Check-It events associate the persons involved in resolving any event or task, as well as, the date and details of the remediation required, if any.
The key benefit of AGSI's Check-It component is improving the communication between users and facilitating the exchange of information in a clear and effective manner, using GO360's intelligent map instead of traditional methods such as email or printing the map. No longer does a user have to print a map, write comments and then send it electronically or via mail to another user. GO360 Check-It offers users real-time interaction and updates in a secure web service environment. Check-It is also available on AGSI's GO360 Mobile platform including tablets and web enabled phones.
Check-It can be used in many different industries to:
- Identify and assign employees to work projects;
- Update/add asset or attribute information for municipalities, Utilities, and Emergency Management;
- Track trouble reports on corporate assets;
- Update or add client addresses, Premises and Places of Interests; and
- Collaborate and share information within or across organizations that are all part of a logistical workflow.
